Alex Bowman will get back to the No. 48 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports at Phoenix Raceway, the group reported Friday morning.
Bowman, a seven-time Cup Series victor, has been sidelined since experiencing a blackout at Texas Engine Speedway on Sept. 25, missing every one of the last four races. Bowman will miss Sunday’s Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway (2 p.m. ET, NBC, NBC Sports Application, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) as Noah Gragson keeps on filling in. Bowman was cleared to return following a full assessment by Dr. Michael “Micky” Collins, clinical overseer of the College of Pittsburgh Clinical Center Games Medication Blackout Program, the group said in a delivery. Bowman voiced his appreciation for the persistence shown by two of his group and backers as he put his well-being at the very front of his interests, really setting his security in front of his title trust this season.
