Larvesta and Volcarona are two of the most sought-after Pokemon in the popular mobile game, Pokemon Go. These two fire and bug-type Pokemon have finally made their debut in the game, and trainers around the world are eager to catch them. But catching them is not an easy task, and many trainers are left wondering how to go about it.
As part of the An Instinctive Hero event, Larvesta has made its Pokemon Go debut, and trainers can finally get their hands on its powerful evolution, Volcarona. Larvesta was first introduced in the Unova region in Pokemon Black and White, and since then, it has become a fan-favorite. Now, trainers are eager to add it to their collection in Pokemon Go.
The only way to get Larvesta in Pokemon Go right now is to hatch it from 2km, 5km, or 10km eggs. This means that other Pokemon from these egg pools can also hatch, so it’s not guaranteed that you will hatch Larvesta. Trainers will need to go through many eggs to increase their chances of hatching Larvesta.
Unfortunately, unlike most other new Pokemon debuts, Larvesta cannot be encountered in the wild, battled as a raid boss, or earned as a reward from field research tasks. This makes it a very tricky Pokemon to catch, and many trainers are struggling to get their hands on it.
To evolve Larvesta into Volcarona in Pokemon Go, trainers will need to collect 400 candies. There are no special items or buddy tasks required for this evolution process. This evolution is one of the most expensive in the game, putting it on the same level as other Pokemon such as Gyarados, Altaria, and Bewear. Since Larvesta can only be obtained from eggs, it will be especially tricky to collect enough candy to evolve it.
To earn candy, trainers can set Larvesta as their buddy to earn extra candy while walking and transfer any unwanted Larvesta for a little candy reward. However, it’s important to note that Shiny Larvesta is currently unavailable in Pokemon Go. Trainers will have to make do with regular Larvesta and Volcarona for now. It’s likely that Shiny Larvesta will debut during a future Fire or Bug-themed event, so trainers should keep an eye out for it.
