Construction Advances on Adventureland Treehouse as Tarps are Removed

Disney’s theme parks are known for their constant evolution and innovation, offering visitors new experiences during each visit. From exciting rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway to immersive areas like Avengers Campus, Disney always has something fresh to offer.

One of their upcoming attractions is the TRON Lightcycle/Run coaster, scheduled to open at the Magic Kingdom in April. This coaster, themed around TRON, promises an exhilarating adventure through “The Grid” as riders compete against Team Orange.

Another intriguing project that may have slipped under the radar is taking shape in Adventureland. Initially named Tarzan’s Treehouse, this attraction is undergoing a substantial transformation into the Adventureland Treehouse. The project commenced in September 2021, featuring a more extended timeline compared to regular refurbishments. The experience will resemble the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Since the closure of Disneyland’s Tarzan’s Treehouse, significant portions of the attraction have been disassembled and reimagined as part of this extensive renovation. Recent developments indicate that Disney is making considerable progress, as the tarps covering the project have now been removed.

Originally introduced in 1999, Tarzan’s Treehouse offered visitors a walkthrough attraction depicting the Tarzan story. The treehouse rooms were designed to resemble salvaged parts from a shipwreck, aligning with the attraction’s backstory. As the construction advances and the tarps come down, the Adventureland Treehouse promises to provide a refreshed and captivating experience for Disney enthusiasts.
