For those unfamiliar with the original Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler manga, publisher Yen Press describes it as follows: Hyakkaou Private Academy is a prestigious school for the wealthy with an unusual curriculum. The students are taught not only to excel academically or athletically, but also to master the art of gambling. In this world, reading your opponent and the art of the deal are more important than book smarts or athletic prowess. The winners live like kings while the losers are subjected to harsh treatment. But when Yumeko Jabami enrolls, she turns the school’s hierarchy on its head and shows the other students what it really means to be a high roller.

Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler has become a popular franchise with a dedicated fanbase, thanks to its unique premise, high-stakes gambling scenes, and engaging characters. The spinoff manga Kakegurui (Kakkokari) has been a welcome addition to the series, offering fans a lighthearted and comedic take on the Kakegurui universe. With the final chapter of Kakegurui (Kakkokari) set to arrive soon, fans are eagerly anticipating how the spinoff series will wrap up and what it may mean for the future of the Kakegurui franchise.
