Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Trailer and Visual Released

“The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh, the first installment of the upcoming series, was showcased with a trailer and a teaser image during this year’s Netflix TUDUM event. The movie is set to be released on Netflix in December.

Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack are the animation studios behind the movie, which will be produced using CGI and will explore a spin-off story centered around Tristan. Noriyuki Abe is credited as the chief director, with Bob Shirahata serving as the director, and Rintaro Ikeda handling the scriptwriting.

Taking place after the original series but before the events of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga sequel, this movie presents an original narrative that revolves around Tristan. After his father’s castle is attacked by a mysterious army, Tristan embarks on a journey where he encounters fairies and giants, leading to a life-altering experience. The trailer showcases familiar characters such as Meliodas, Elizabeth, Diane, and Ban.

The original Seven Deadly Sins series has also been adapted into an anime with four seasons and two movies. The first two seasons and the movie Prisoners of the Sky were animated by A-1 Pictures, while Studio DEEN took over for seasons 3 and 4. The latest movie, Cursed by Light, acted as a sequel exclusively for the anime series. The TV anime adaptation was available worldwide on Netflix, while the movies had theatrical releases in Japan. All seasons, movies, and a special OVA series are now accessible on Netflix. Furthermore, an anime adaptation of Four Knights of the Apocalypse was announced earlier this year.”
