No Season 3 for ‘The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib’ on Netflix

Contrary to earlier reports, it has been confirmed that there will not be a third batch of episodes for ‘The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib’ on Netflix. This revelation comes despite initial expectations and anticipations fueled by an official Netflix document distributed to the press, indicating that “Seasons 1-2” of the show are currently available on the streaming platform, with a note promising “More Episodes Coming in 2023.”

This animated series marks the second major installment in The Boss Baby franchise on Netflix, following the success of ‘The Boss Baby: Back in Business,’ which entertained audiences from 2018 to 2021. In addition to the regular series, viewers were treated to a Christmas bonus episode in 2022, and an interactive special captivated audiences in September 2020.

The inaugural season of ‘The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib’ debuted globally on May 19th, 2023, capturing the attention of audiences with its unique blend of humor and animation. The second batch of episodes was released more recently on April 14th, 2023. Impressively, the first season managed to secure a coveted spot in the Netflix global top 10s for three consecutive weeks, accumulating a substantial 46.94 million hours watched globally. However, the second season, despite its release, notably failed to make an impact on any top 10 lists.

The series boasts a talented voice cast, with JP Karliak, Max Mittelman, Mary Faber, Krizia Bajos, Ariana Greenblatt, Alex Cazares, and Nicole Byer lending their voices to the beloved characters. Behind the scenes, Brandon Sawyer serves as the executive producer, while Matt Engstrom takes on the role of supervising producer.

Initial reports on April 25th had suggested a renewed commitment for the series, with the promise of a third batch of episodes later in 2023. However, shortly after the news surfaced, Brandon Sawyer took to Twitter to dispel these rumors, asserting that the series would not be returning for additional episodes.
