Jake and Other Disney Shows Headed to Netflix

Netflix continues to bolster its content library by expanding its partnership with Disney. The streaming giant has secured the US rights to five popular Disney Junior and Disney XD shows, further solidifying its position as the go-to platform for family-friendly entertainment.

This new multi-year licensing agreement cements Netflix as the exclusive US subscription TV service for “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” and “Tron: Uprising,” both of which are already available to subscribers. Additionally, Netflix will soon make “Handy Manny,” “Special Agent Oso,” and “JoJo’s Circus” accessible to US viewers later this month.

This move comes on the heels of a groundbreaking first-run agreement between Disney and Netflix, which grabbed headlines last December. This prior deal granted Netflix access to feature films from Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, and Disneynature shortly after their theatrical releases. The partnership has since thrived, offering Netflix subscribers an ever-expanding catalog of beloved Disney content.
