10 DCEU Characters We Wanted More of Before the Reboot

  1. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis): Despite her compelling portrayal by Viola Davis, Amanda Waller was underutilized. Her mysterious government figure could have been explored further, delving into her ruthless tactics and the moral gray areas she navigates.
  2. Katana (Karen Fukuhara): Katana’s brief appearance in “Suicide Squad” left fans wanting more. Her tragic backstory and exceptional sword skills could have been explored in a standalone film or expanded role.
  3. Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg): Jesse Eisenberg’s eccentric portrayal of Lex Luthor had potential, but the character’s development was rushed. A more gradual transformation into the iconic villain could have been captivating.
  4. Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney): Jai Courtney’s comedic take on Captain Boomerang was a standout in “Suicide Squad.” Further exploration of his criminal antics and unique skills could have added depth to the character.
  5. Enchantress (Cara Delevingne): The mystical Enchantress had a captivating presence, but the film’s rushed plot hindered her character development. A slower exploration of her descent into darkness could have made her a more compelling antagonist.
  6. Slipknot (Adam Beach): Slipknot’s early demise in “Suicide Squad” left audiences curious about his abilities. A deeper exploration of his character and background could have added weight to his role in the team.
  7. El Diablo (Jay Hernandez): El Diablo’s redemptive arc was a highlight, but more backstory on his tragic past and his struggle with his powers could have made his character even more impactful.
  8. Jimmy Olsen (Michael Cassidy): Jimmy Olsen’s brief appearance in “Batman v Superman” disappointed fans of the iconic character. A more substantial role exploring his journalism skills and relationship with Superman could have added depth to the DCEU.
  9. Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje): Killer Croc’s makeup and design were impressive, but the character lacked significant development. A standalone story delving into his origins in the sewers of Gotham could have been intriguing.
  10. Perry White (Laurence Fishburne): Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, played a supporting role. Further exploration of his journalistic integrity and dynamic with Lois Lane could have enriched the world of Metropolis.
